Tracy J. Monroe, CPA, MT is an Advisor at Coehn & Company.
As a highly requested speaker at the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants (OSCPA), Tracy is continually studying the latest tax developments that affect individuals and businesses. Because of her significant research responsibilities, Tracy’s clients know she will be one of the first to uncover unique tax opportunities for their benefit. To make sure this happens, Tracy listens. She listens to her clients and encourages frequent and open conversations.
Tracy’s technical expertise lies in state and local taxation; S Corporations, C Corporations; consolidated returns; mergers and acquisitions; tax free exchanges; and other tax planning, research and compliance issues. She has saved clients in the real estate and manufacturing industries millions of dollars using cutting-edge tax planning techniques - and by standing up for those techniques, when necessary, to the IRS. In fact, some of Tracy’s most significant wins on behalf of her clients have been in front of the IRS Board of Appeals, including helping a business client facing a $38 million tax liability to resolve the issue for $20 million. Through Ohio tax-planning techniques, Tracy saved an individual client $500,000 on her taxes, including successfully closing an Ohio audit without any action from the agency.
